NewsNation is currently searching for a Full-time Director for our national newscasts and opinion programs, based in our new New York studios.

This is a DGA position and union membership is required.
Salary range is based on experience:
$90-$96.00/hr

Responsibilities:
- Must have in-depth knowledge of studio and remote broadcasting technology including steadicam and robotic cameras, servers and graphics systems. ENPS experience preferred.
- The Director will collaborate with newscast producers to understand the content, tone, structure and pace of newscasts.
- Lead on-air talent, technicians, stage crew, and floor directors to execute a clean and dynamic show.
- The Director should add creativity and bring ideas that enhance the final product, coordinating with the News and Creative Services departments to maximize the use of our studio and graphics elements.
- Please be prepared to share current references and reels (with director's track).

Salary range is based on experience:
$90-$96.00/hr
- Five plus (5 ) years’ directing experience in professional live broadcast television required
- Must work well in a collaborative team environment, be able to multitask. A problem solver and quick thinker to troubleshoot existing issues and to find work arounds when needed.
- Working knowledge of common business software applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be a self-starter and take initiative.
- All day parts (mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field preferred.
