Nextant is hiring a Product Designer 3 to join our client’s team. We’re looking for a thoughtful, systems-minded product designer to join the Research & Design team, focused on evolving the site experience and contributing to design system migration. This role sits at the intersection of platform design, user experience, and visual systems—helping shape how users engage with account, subscription, and commerce experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and evolve components and patterns within the site experience, ensuring alignment with the new design system.
- Help define and elevate the visual and interaction standards for the site, with a focus on improving subscription flows and establishing a cohesive, user-centered experience.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and PM partners to define and deliver user-centered solutions that scale across surfaces.
- Contribute to the migration of legacy UI to the new UI, balancing consistency, accessibility, and performance.
- Participate in critiques, design reviews, and cross-functional syncs to ensure quality and cohesion.
- Use Figma and other tools to create specs, prototypes, and documentation that support implementation and iteration.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure the design is implemented effectively and iterate in code to refine the design and respond to user feedback.
- You have 5–7 years of experience designing digital products or systems.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with Figma, specifically with component or design system libraries (transversing or organizing)
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in cross-functional teams, personally conducting handoffs to engineering teams
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with visual design skills (graphic design skills may also help)
- Must have experience in design tokens or semantic tokens, and significant experience in design system libraries.
- You think in systems but sweat the details—your work is both scalable and polished.
- You value accessibility, inclusivity, and craft in your design practice.
- Disqualifiers: Candidates with portfolios consisting only of unshipped work will not be eligible for the role. The team loves seeing all kinds of work but if the whole portfolio is only work that hasn’t shipped this may be a concern. Also, people who don’t talk about their process evolving along the way, there are always problems within projects and designers should be able to talk through how plans changed during the process.
Benefits:
- Computer and workstation
- Health Plan
- 15 PTO days per year (accrued)
- Major US holidays
- Parental Leave
- 401K
