Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Atlassian System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Jira Service Management. They will work closely with the Jira Service Management Product Owner in developing effective and productive working relationships with business units and guiding them on simplifying their work intake and management processes with the Atlassian platform. They will also work with ISO security administration and act as tertiary backup for ISO security and system access administration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer, manage, and maintain Jira Service Management, including the configuration and customization of workflows, schemes, fields, and screens.
• Work closely with business units to identify their needs, help them streamline their work intake and management processes, and establish best practices for utilizing Jira Service Management.
• Oversee the administration of Confluence as its used with Jira Service Management, ensuring an organized and efficient knowledge management system for documentation and collaboration.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of custom reports, dashboards, and metrics to track the performance of teams and projects.
• Train and support users, addressing any issues or questions that arise.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to Jira and Confluence configurations, plugins, and tools to optimize performance, scalability, and usability.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the proper use and maintenance of Jira and Confluence, ensuring adherence to security and data privacy standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Atlassian product updates, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the company's tools and processes are aligned with industry standards.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Jira and Confluence-related issues, coordinating with Atlassian support when necessary.
• Ensure ISO security and system access requests are completed within established timeframes.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in administering and managing Jira and Confluence, with a focus on Jira Service Management.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and familiarity with various software development processes.
• Proven experience working with business units to understand their needs and optimize their work intake and management processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator or similar certification is highly desirable.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
