An Investment Management firm in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as an ESG Analyst. This role will follow a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct ESG analysis on current and prospective private credit investments
- Support ESG due diligence by identifying material risks and opportunities
- Coordinate the collection and evaluation of ESG data from portfolio companies, including KPIs and sustainability metrics
- Prepare regular ESG performance reports and updates for key stakeholders
- Assist in the development and implementation of ESG policies and frameworks tailored to private credit
- Monitor ESG trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices
- Benchmark ESG practices against industry standards
- Collaborate with investment teams and portfolio companies to align on ESG priorities and initiatives
- Respond to ESG-related client requests, questionnaires, and presentations
- Contribute to annual sustainability reports and other firm-wide ESG communications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, environmental science, or related field; or completion of a top-tier investment banking training program
- 1–2 years of experience as an analyst in financial services or ESG consulting; ESG research experience or coursework is a plus
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management
- Excellent written and verbal communication; fluent in business English
- Capable of independent research and preparing presentation materials
- Collaborative team player with a high energy level
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Additional language skills are a plus, but not required
