What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ramp Agent position at NextGen GHS, LLC?
**Job Summary:**
The Ramp Agent will be responsible for handling the loading and unloading of cargo, baggage, and other items on and off aircraft. This role includes ensuring the safe and timely movement of these items to and from aircraft, as well as performing other duties to assist in the efficient operation of the airport.
This is a part time position.
Hours are scheduled but may vary based on aircraft arrival or delays.
AM Shifts will work a scheduled 5 days a week that may include weekends.
PM Shifts will be Monday-Friday
AM Shifts:
Sunday 04:30-008:30
Monday 03:15-07:15
Tuesday-Friday 06:45-10;15
PM Shifts:
Monday-Friday 08:30-11:30
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physically able to repeatedly lift heavy items.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
**Responsibilities:**
- Safely load and unload baggage, cargo, and other items onto and off aircraft.
- Operate ground support equipment such as tugs, forklifts, and belt loaders.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Assist in other duties around the airport as needed.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Certification to operate specific ground support equipment.
