Overview of Position
We are seeking an experienced AP/AR/Payroll bookkeeper for as full time position available immediately.  The role is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the organization. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment for goods and services completed by the organization.

Job Duties

  • Sort and process mail related to AR
  • Post customer payments by recording cash, ACH, checks and credit card transactions
  • Prepare and record bank deposits
  • Maintain current recurring monthly billings and creating new billings in timely manner
  • Create and send service billings daily
  • Create and send out monthly customer statements
  • Create estimate billings for Sales Team in timely manner
  • Initiate collections on past due accounts
  • Perform AR maintenance by auditing customer accounts to ensure they contain correct information, such as billing contact information and accurate billings
  • Weekly and month bank reconciliations
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 years of experience in AR
  • Experience with customer service and client communication
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with G Suite
  • Familiarity with accounting software programs
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Organization and time management
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Management and leadership skills
  • Previous experience in transportation, hospitality, or commercial industries a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to work at a computer station for extended periods of time
  • Ability to answer phones with or without the use of a headset
