JOB TITLE: Sanitation Worker – 3rd Shift
The following statements reflect the general duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job and should not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements of this position.
Responsibility:
- Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks in accordance with established protocols.
- Foam, Scrub and wash down equipment
- Assembling and disassembling equipment
- Prepare production for the pre-operation inspection
- Ensure all areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs.
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of equipment as necessary for cleaning tasks.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and sanitation compliance.
- Ensure that documentation is completed in full
- Perform and document routing inspections and maintenance activities
- Ensure all areas are clear of debris
- Empty all garbage containers as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sanitation or custodial roles is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness are essential.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform required physical tasks.
- Familiarity with food safety standards is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are important.
- Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions is necessary.
