What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Education Teacher- Part Time - Nichols Elementary position at Nichols Elementary School?
The P.E. teacher will implement a rigorous curriculum that engage students in physical activities.
18.75 hours per week (3.75 hours per day).
*This postion is part time and doesn't include any insurance benefits or accurals (sick leave, etc.).
The P.E. teacher shall assess students’ level of physical activity at least twice a year. These tests will include the timed ½ mile run/walk or the mile run which measures aerobic capacity, the sit-up test and push-up test which measure muscular strength and muscular endurance, and the sit-and- reach test which measures flexibility. Students will assess their results using the Presidential Youth Fitness Standards, set goals, and create plans to improve.
Candidate must have Kentucky Certification: Professional Elementary Certificate (P-5) or in PE/Health and possess all other requirements according to BCPS.
This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.
Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the 2025-2026 school year.
