Job Title: Heavy Duty Parts Manager
Job Summary: Long Island based Concrete supplier with multiple locations in Nassau and Suffolk is currently seeking the right person to improve our maintenance department through timely and cost-effective parts supply and accounting. Familiarity with concrete mixers a plus.

The parts manager will be responsible for finding and ordering parts for jobs as well as maintaining inventory. Qualified applicants should be computer literate and familiar with a Fleet Maintenance environment. The selected applicant will be required to effectively search and cross reference parts to achieve the best balance of price, quality and speed to best serve the needs of the company for each order. Communication and organizational skills are paramount. This position reports to the Fleet Manager but serves and works with the various Shop Foremen.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with foremen to fully understand the scope and urgency of each job to determine the best course of action
- Follow up on orders to ensure parts are on hand for ongoing jobs, cores are returned, PO’s are reconciled and invoices are processed
- Utilize fleet maintenance software to issue purchase orders, follow up on backorders, check for price increases and maintain accurate and efficient inventory.
- Help to make sure the parts room is neat and organized.
- Pick up parts when necessary (with company vehicle)
