This position is responsible for maintaining an orderly, safe, secure jail by enforcing compliance by prisoners of established rules and regulations.

In order to be considered for this position we require a High school diploma or GED equivalent. Correctional Officer experience is preferred. Must have good public relations skills and be proficient in computer operation. Good physical condition with ability to restrain combative or assaultive individuals. Ability to work well in emergency situations and under stress required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and submit to and pass a background investigation, including a physical and psychological evaluation. Must have no felony convictions.

Completes intake procedures on incoming prisoners, including fingerprinting, photographing, inputting of data into computer, recording personal belongings, performing pat or body searches and placement into security and sleeping areas. | Daily 20% | A1 |
