Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Prescott, Arizona

Role Summary: The Medical Assistant will collaborate with the care team to deliver high quality pulmonary care by performing and providing the following tasks and services:
Responsibilities:
- Using the EMR to document patient clinical data (e.g., medical history, vital signs, etc.).
- Prepare the exam room and patient for the appropriate visit.
- Perform POS (point of service) testing, ordering labs.
- Documenting and managing patient results and medication requests via EMR or by phone.
- Maintaining supplies and equipment as determined by practice protocols.
- Perform diagnostic procedures (e.g., pulmonary function tests, EKGs, etc.)
- Prepare and administer injections.
- Obtain Pre-certs and Authorizations as needed for services, internal and external procedures to support the treatment plan.
- Cross Trained to perform Administrative Tasks to include:
- Patient Registration
- Schedule appointments and procedures
- Answer and triage phone calls, follow up with patients, etc.
- Remote Patient Activities
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of Medical Assistant experience required; pulmonology preferred.
- 2 years of EMR experience required; Athena or Eclinical Works preferred.
- Formal Medical Assistant training required; BLS and/or CMA/RMA certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid COVID-19 vaccination required.
- Bi-Lingual Preferred
- Genuine passion for patient care-Expected
