Niner Wine Estates is a family owned company that makes 100% estate grown wines from Paso Robles and Edna Valley. Our winery is located on Anderson Road, right off the 46 West in Paso Robles.
We are seeking a Full-Time Warehouse Associate to manage all elements of the warehouse including incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory control, case good storage, quality control and safety control. This position reports to the Wine Club Manager with key interaction with members of winemaking, marketing, hospitality and ownership. Normal workweek is 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday. Job Duties
- Responsible for shipment of Wholesale Orders, Sales Samples and Direct-To-Consumer wine orders from the Warehouse facility.
- Ensures a seamless flow of movement of product between warehouse and drivers, ensuring product and paperwork are picked, labeled, staged and loaded correctly.
- Implements controls to avoid picking and loading mistakes or damage.
- Organize warehouse inventory in a collaborative, logical, efficient and productive manner.
- Utilizes IT Systems to complete paperwork for inventory adjustments, shipments and receivables thoroughly and accurately
- Receives and processes deliveries of dry goods and other materials to the warehouse.
- Maintains and orders shipping supplies.
- Participates in weekly, monthly, annual inventory cycle counts, insuring all paperwork and data entry for inventory transfers, adjustments, shipping and receiving orders is complete.
- Makes recommendations to management to improve quality of service, increase efficiency of warehouse operations, and equipment performance.
- Understands and supports all safety standards employed throughout the operation.
- Reviews daily plans, priorities, and assignments to establish and adjust work assignments to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules, shipping, receiving and work flow.
- Ensures safe and proficient operation of all equipment including forklifts and attachments.
- Maintains, cleans and organizes the warehouse and shipping floor areas, sustaining a high level of housekeeping and organization throughout the warehouse.
- Oversees and implements special projects such as: relabeling, repacking or as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse work experience desired, but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Solution-oriented and self-sufficient
- Able to work under pressure and handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Bilingual a plus.
- Understanding of wine shipment compliance preferred.
- Proficient mathematical abilities.
- Forklift certification or ability to be certified.
- Valid Driver’s license required.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds repetitively.
- Computer skills: Email, Microsoft Office, Excel, knowledge Wine Direct and Ship Compliant a plus.
