What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Partner position at Ninth District Opportunity?
Must have a passion for working with families no matter their background to move our families to self suffices. Any potential candidate being interviewed should hold a BA Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Service or related field. It would also be beneficial if the potential candidate spoke some Spanish but is not limited to be potentially hired or interviewed.
- Respect and responds appropriately to the culture, language, value and family structures of each family we serve.
- Support families safety, financial stability, life goals and aspirations.
- Enhance parent to child relationship and support the parents role as the first and lifelong educators of their children,
- Acts as a member of a comprehensive service team so that families service activities are coordinated and integrated through out the program.
- Find creative ways to get the parent to buy into their child's education through Family support meeting and workshop geared toward the parent learning and parenting skills.
- Assist parents with making doctor, dentist and any other health care appointment.
- Assist parents with resources that they are in need of such as housing, food stamps, medical insurance etc.
- work cooperatively with the Center Director and all area of the families growth and development.
- Monitor Center Data base to that reminder are sent out for all appointments.
- Be an Advocate for our families.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
