What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treatment Center Operations Director position at NIP?
The National Institute for the Psychotherapies Training Institute (NIP), located in the Flatiron, is a not-for-profit psychoanalytic - psychotherapies training institute, and a provider of affordable psychotherapy services for the community.
The Treatment Center Operations Director will carry out responsibilities that support high quality, well-coordinated patient care in the institute’s treatment center according to guidelines and standards of the training institute’s scope of practice and educational mission. The Clinical Operations Director will oversee patient intake, work closely with the administrative team and stakeholders in order to facilitate proper documentation, follow up activities related to patient care, and staffing are optimized for efficient, compliant provision of high-quality patient care.
The position will report to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee NIP's Patient Intake Department.
- Responsible for the writing of candidate weekly emails highlighting current administrative and timely updates, any changes in policy and/or procedures, along with the dissemination of relevant treatment center/academic alerts.
- Oversee semiannual internal documentation auditing, performs monthly candidate remuneration, and produces reports and documents for internal and external use
- Collaborate with administrative team and community stakeholders in clinical program goal setting, ongoing problem solving, and policy and procedural enforcement
- Collaborate with administrative/ institute stakeholders in processing patient assignments, clinical conferencing, ongoing compliance and day to day management of the institute’s vibrant treatment center
- Fosters excellent patient service relationships and represents the institute professionally in all work related interactions with community members, and outside contacts
- Acts as compliance officer regarding candidate documentation and maintains the Institute’s HIPPA standards
- Takes a lead in fostering an accountable environment within the Institute by co-authoring and revising as necessary, the operation’s written policies and procedures as needed
- Supervises the management and maintenance of treatment rooms
- Additional duties as assigned by the Executive or Associate Directors
Qualifications:
- A Master’s in either Social Work or a related mental health field
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in health care operations. Candidates with relevant clinical and work experience or advanced education in public health, business, or another relevant field are preferred
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with administrative, student/clinician population, and other members of the institute
- Experience with MS Office, computer literate with a willingness to learn new software programs
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, problem solver, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment, including consistency and success in adhering to deadlines
- Leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and schedule in an efficient and productive manner with attention to detail
