This role is ideal for an experienced developer with deep expertise in modern full-stack development and a passion for building scalable, secure, cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will be proficient across a range of technologies and tools, including AWS services, Java, Python, and JavaScript frameworks, and DevOps practices. Prior experience supporting federal agencies or working in a FedRAMP-compliant environment is a plus. This position will be hybrid to the client site in College Park, MD.

The ideal candidate will be proficient across a range of technologies and tools, including AWS services, Java, Python, and JavaScript frameworks, and DevOps practices. Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy of web-based applications using Java, Python, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Build modern, responsive user interfaces with frameworks such as React and Angular.
- Develop and maintain backend APIs and microservices hosted in AWS using Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.
- Monitor application health and performance using AWS CloudWatch and other related tools .
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases in cloud environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK to automate environment setup and management.
- Support DevOps processes and pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
- Ensure compliance with federal security and accessibility standards, including FedRAMP and Section 508.
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, code reviews, and backlog grooming.
- US Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years of full-stack development experience using Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React and/or Angular.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services: Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, PostgreSQL.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code such as (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
- Familiarity with compliance standards like FedRAMP, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
- Prior experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
