- Develop job specifications when needed
- Perform analysis of jobs to create a sequence of operation
- Work with the customer to develop a set of Approval drawings
- Use AutoCAD to create drawings
- Coordinate with customers on meetings, and changes for job
- Coordinate with purchasing of pricing for components for jobs
- Purchase and track parts required for the job
- Develop a PLC program for the job including configuration, comment development, and ladder logic
- Develop an HMI program for the job including configuration, screen development, and PLC logic
- Coordinating with site personnel to ensure proper installation is performed
- Arrange travel plans for site checks, meetings, and commissioning
- Site commissioning including debugging of electrical installation, HMI/PLC configurations, and operational capability
- Performing onsite training with maintenance personnel
- Reading/making time charts to translate into the PLC program
- Perform electrical checkout of complete equipment in the panel shop
- BS. degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent program
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint
- 10 years of experience
- Proficient with PLC5, PLC500, Control Logix 5000, Omron CX (CS1/CJ2), Mitsubishi (A-series/Q-series), GE Machine Edition (90-30/90-70), Sharp, Yaskawa, Pilz, and Toyopuc PLC software
- Proficient with Allen Bradley HMI (600/1000/1000 /Panelview Plus), Omron (NS), Mitsubishi GOT (800/900/1000/2000), Proface, and Cimplicity HMI software.
- Self-motivated to complete jobs without having to be managed
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work extended hours when needed and be able to work at night or weekends
- Experience with Automotive Conveyors (Chain/EMS/Friction/et al.)
