UX / UI Design Intern

Must be available to be onsite between January 6, 2025 to April 4, 2025.

Onsite / Jacksonville, FL

NLP Logix is recruiting for a UX / UI Design Intern to join its growing team of IT and Business professionals. This position is for a part-time 90-day employee and will be based out of Jacksonville. Expected hours are between 20 – 25 hours per week. NLP is dedicated to creating exceptional user experiences that delight our customers and drive innovation in our industry. We are looking for a motivated and talented UX Design Intern to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission.

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights that inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to ensure cohesive and user-centered design solutions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows using tools like Figma.
  • Analyze user feedback and behavior data to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, refinement sessions, brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance product usability and engagement.
  • Assist in creating and updating Figma components and design systems.
  • Support the Team Lead in creating UX tasks in Jira and ADO as well as updating statuses.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in UX / UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with design frameworks and principles such as Design Thinking and User-Centered Design.
  • Hands-on experience with Figma and other design tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable design improvements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with data visualization is a plus.
  • A portfolio showcasing UX / UI projects is strongly preferred.
