Dishwasher/Food Prep (Friday-Sunday) – Join Our Busy Breakfast & Lunch Cafe Team!
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our friendly team as a Dishwasher and Food Prep Worker, working 3 days a week(we are open Tuesday-Sunday). at our bustling breakfast and lunch cafe. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a collaborative team, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Plus, as a dishwasher, you’ll receive an equal share of tips and have the opportunity to cross train in FOH and cooking.
Responsibilities:
- Hand wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using designated washing equipment
- Sanitize and properly store all washed items
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, following recipes, preparing salads, and assembling menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and food prep areas
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Sweep and mop floors
- Carry garbage to the dumpster (requires walking uphill)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to read and interpret basic recipes
- Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high standard of work
- Flexible schedule to work early mornings and weekends
Requirements:
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid food handler’s card
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food prep role is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions
- Must be able to bend, reach, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs), and stand for long periods
