Role Description
Join the team at Noah Properties as a Design Assistant, where you will play an integral role in supporting new development projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with our design team to assist on new development projects and gain hands on experience in the field.
The successful applicant will be motivated, highly organized, and have a positive attitude. The position is full-time and in person based out of our Schiller Park, IL office.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be extremely detail oriented, enthusiastic, hardworking, and passionate about the design process. They will work closely with the design team to provide project support including:
- Collaborating with team members to produce design deliverables
- Requesting quotes, pricing, and samples from vendors
- Researching and finding materials, furnishings, and more
- Attending on-site meetings, taking detailed notes, and providing general support of team
- Assisting in the preparation and participation of final installations, including furniture placement and accessory layout
- Following up with vendors on lead times and quotes
- Ensuring items are shipped/received in time and work to replace any items that arrive damaged
- Organizing and maintaining the materials library in the showroom
- Assisting in administrative duties as necessary
Qualifications
- Knowledge of relevant software, including Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Revit (or similar) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately across multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read architectural plans and specifications.
- Familiarity with drawings and taking field measurements.
- Vehicle required for routine site visits.
- Relevant experience / certification for design or related field
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
