Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pizza Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team while vending at The Big E Fair in W. Springfield, MA!!! The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, particularly in pizza preparation and cooking. This role involves creating delicious pizzas while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The Pizza Cook will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that each dish meets our quality standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including ovens and cutting tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the kitchen area is clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling ingredients.
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock is low.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety regulations in the kitchen to maintain a safe working environment.
- Engage with customers when necessary to ensure satisfaction with their orders.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing inventory.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Experience in bussing or other restaurant roles can be beneficial but is not required.
