What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at NODAWAY COUNTY SERVICES?
Job Summary:
A program coordinator is an employee who plans and coordinates services for
individuals while overseeing employees for the Program Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily operation of other staff
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Schedules staff in accordance with consumer ISP’s.
- Collaborate with program manager for staff development, training for employees
and supported individual.
- Responsible for covering shifts
- Answering staff call-ins and questions during regular business hours
- Maintain minimum hours to be in compliance with staff status
- Help plan and provide activities for consumers
- Auditing of plans, billing and payroll items
- Maintain confidentiality of all consumers’ Protected Health Information used for
treatment, payment, health care, etc. as set up by the Health Insurance
Portability Accountability Act of 1996. (HIPAA)
- Maintain communication with family members, guardians, staff, Service
Coordinator and Regional Office about issues or concerns.
- Prepare and submit reports that are required by contract, funding source or
regulation.
- Communicating with agency personnel
- Other duties as assigned

- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
