As a key team member, you will contribute to defending clients’ rights while developing your expertise across multiple areas of law.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including legal research, document drafting, and proofreading to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, maintaining meticulous records of all legal documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research across various practice areas including criminal law, family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, and workers' compensation law using Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and evidence to support litigation strategies.
- Schedule appointments, interviews, and court dates while coordinating communication between clients, courts, and external agencies.
- Support administrative functions such as data entry, filing, transcription, and maintaining client databases with precision.
- Provide exceptional clerical support including phone etiquette, organizational tasks, and document proofreading to uphold office professionalism.
- Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience in a law office setting.
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Familiarity with multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), patent law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, and litigation processes.
- Proficiency in legal case management software like PCLaw and document management systems such as iManage.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Effective interviewing skills for client intake and witness interviews.
