What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Marketing Intern position at Nolia Roots?
***Spring/Summer Internship: February 3, 2025, through August 8, 2025. Intern MUST be able to stay with Nolia Roots for the intended duration of the internship.
Mentorship, peer team collaboration, and real-world application are at the heart of our internships here at Nolia Roots. We aim to attract and grow the next generation of builders, shakers, and leaders and inspire them to master their passions. Our small team allows for abundant experience opportunities and client interaction—no coffee runs here!
All internships have an option for academic credit and paid status, depending on skill level.
6 MONTH INTERNSHIP DESIGNED TO HELP YOU GROW
PHASE 1
Learning & Development | 3 Months
In the first three months, you’ll learn what it takes to excel in the world of marketing and entrepreneurship. Learn the ropes, hear from recent grads about post-grad, and attend guest speaker Lunch and Learns with influential business leaders.
We offer monthly classes based on student interest and review topics such as entrepreneurship, SEO, personal finance, and more.
PHASE 2
Real World Application | 2 Months
Test your skills by taking on more responsibility, applying your learned skill set, and experiencing agency life in the real world. Execute influential work to help Nolia Roots and our clients flourish and grow.
PHASE 3
Intern Team Client Project | 1 Month
Over the last 5 months, you’ve grown your skill set and gotten to know the other members of your peer internship team – learned their strengths, their talents, and how everyone works together. Now, you’ll collaborate with those peers on a real client project that lasts the last month of your internship. You’ll be able to use this project on any portfolio and speak about your role in future job interviews.

DIGITAL MARKETING INTERN
As a digital marketing intern, you will work hand in hand with the CEO and marketing team to create digital campaigns for Nolia Roots and clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Technical SEO (Site Audits, website maintenance, content creation)
- Analytics (GA4 & Reports)
- AI (Implementation of AI in the workplace to streamline projects)
- Digital Content Ideation & Execution
- Email Marketing
Skills required:
- Experience with Google Analytics
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Good understanding of marketing strategies
- Basic understanding of SEO strategies
- Impeccable attention to detail and organization
Skills preferred but not required:
Experience with the following:
- WordPress, Wix, Squarespace
- SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console)
- Email marketing tools (ActiveCampaign)
- Basic web design and photography
All undergraduates and recent graduates pursuing careers in business, marketing, design, or a similar field are welcome to apply. Paid positions and academic credit are available.
