What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development position at Nomi Capital?
Associate / Vice President – Business Development
Role: Full-time or Contract
Location: New York or Remote (Hybrid optional)
About Nomi Capital
Nomi Capital is a New York-based firm investing in late-stage and growth-stage private technology companies. Since our founding in 2024, we’ve deployed over $25 million into leading companies such as xAI, Perplexity, CoreWeave, Canva and Stripe.
We structure our investments as single-asset funds and build custom portfolios for a select group of RIAs, family offices and UHNW investors. Our focus is on primary, secondary and company tender transactions that offer asymmetric upside in category-defining companies.
The Role
We’re hiring an Associate or Vice President to join our growing team in a flexible, entrepreneurial role. The primary focus will be helping expand our base of RIA relationships and driving capital into our investment offerings.
You’ll be responsible for identifying and cultivating investor relationships, supporting fundraising initiatives and contributing to client engagement – including creating content and materials that keep our investors informed about our portfolio companies and market views.
This is a high-ownership, open-ended position – no two days will look the same. You’ll work directly with the founder and have visibility across the full spectrum of capital raising and investing. The role can be based in New York or remote and may include some travel over time.
What You'll Do

· Support fundraising efforts across SPVs and custom portfolios
· Coordinate investor meetings, manage CRM follow-up, and support relationship tracking
· Help create investment decks, market updates, blogs, and portfolio commentary
· Contribute to evaluating and executing private investment opportunities
· Operate with autonomy and creativity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
What We're Looking For
· 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, investor relations, private wealth or a related role;
· Entrepreneurial mindset – highly organized, proactive and adaptable
· Strong familiarity with the RIA ecosystem and/or experience working with family offices
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills – comfortable creating engaging, thoughtful content
· Solid understanding of private markets and investment concepts
· High integrity individuals to represent the firm
Bonus Points
· Existing network of RIA or family office contacts
· Experience in venture capital, growth equity, or secondaries
Why Nomi
· Work on deals involving the most exciting names in private tech
· Shape the future of a growing investment firm
· Competitive compensation with meaningful performance upside
· Remote or hybrid work flexibility (NYC optional)
