What are the responsibilities and job description for the AWS Cloud Architect position at Nordcloud?

Currently, we are looking for an AWS Cloud Architect to join our team in Finland.
Your daily responsibilities:
- Participating in various customer projects, for example new infrastructure builds, migrations, or data- and AI-related services, from their inception to release
- Implementing architectures with Infrastructure as Code
- Giving workshops and designing recommendations for technical teams
- Becoming a trusted advisor for Public sector customers and jointly managing the customer relationship and roadmap with the Nordcloud Sales team
The primary working location is Helsinki, or other Nordcloud office location in Finland. Also, remote option can be considered.
Your key skills:
- Hands-on experience with implementation using network, security, storage, and database services with AWS
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools, automation and use of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Experience with scripting
- Comfortable in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Bash, Powershell)
- Comfortable with the shell and cloud-related CLI tools
- You use scripting to automate and create glue code between services
- Experience in communicating, designing, and guiding the implementations of cloud solutions
- We favor clear-mindedness, curiosity, and attention to detail over extensive but messy knowledge
Requirements:
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or higher certificate
- Fluent communication skills in both Finnish and English (Finnish language is a requirement for this position)
- Finnish citizenship
- Fluent communication skills in both English and Finnish
Skills we'd consider a plus:
- Any additional AWS Certifications
- Experience with other cloud hyperscalers (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, ECS, Docker)
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of configuration management systems (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar)
- Experience in backend programming with languages like Java, Go, or similar
- Understanding of on-premises technologies (e.g. VMware, OpenStack, or Hyper-V)
All in all, you should have a solid technical background and hands-on experience with conceptualizing, strategizing, and architecting cloud solutions. As you work directly with customers, social skills and a customer service attitude are a must.
The successful candidate is expected to go through a security clearance.
