Description:

The HLA Technologist functions as testing personnel in the histocompatibility laboratory. The HLA Technologist performs routine and STAT testing in support of living and deceased organ transplantation, platelet refractoriness, and HLA testing for other purposes, within the ASHI-accredited laboratory. Testing personnel also rotate on-call duties with other laboratory members, to communicate outside of business hours with the Laboratory Director for virtual crossmatches, and perform crossmatching on site for deceased organ transplantation.
