What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAREERS and TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR position at Norfolk County Agricultural High School?
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Careers and Technology Instructor will be responsible for teaching courses in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, computer applications and career education that meet the standards of the Massachusetts Career and Vocational Technical Frameworks (specifically Strands 4, 5 and 6). The successful candidate will be expected to assist students in the development of financial literacy skills, resumes, reference lists, communication skills, computer applications and digital citizenship, as well as preparing students for job interviews and college and career research. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: 1.Assist students in developing financial literacy skills.2.Direct learning activities in career exploration for students.3.Working with Student Services to coordinate activities involving career and college research.4.Familiarize students with the use of computer software applications and the safe and appropriate use of technology.5.Bring in guest speakers from business and industry to compliment the class curriculum.6.Assist students in the development of their career and job application portfolio.
