Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance & Insurance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations related to insurance and billing within our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of managed care, medical terminology, and coding practices, particularly ICD-9 and ICD-10. The Finance & Insurance Manager will ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while overseeing insurance verification processes and maintaining accurate dental records.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial aspects of the insurance process, including billing, collections, and reimbursement.
- Manage insurance verification for patients to ensure coverage and eligibility.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure accurate coding for services rendered.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of managed care contracts and policies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all financial transactions and patient information handling.
- Supervise the maintenance of dental records to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide training and support to staff on financial processes related to insurance management.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement in revenue cycle management.
Experience
- Proven experience in a finance or insurance management role within a medical office or dental office setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), and managed care principles.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and their application in a healthcare environment.
- Experience with insurance verification processes and managing medical records is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, staff, and insurance providers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.08 - $27.13 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
