Responsibilities
- Provides initial nutrition assessment of patient condition.
- Provides ongoing reassessment and follow-up care.
- Provides nutrition education services for patient and staff.
Qualifications
- Any program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that leads to registration as a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD/RDN).
- Basic knowledge of subspecialty area, including nutrition support, diabetes, cardiology, renal, and oncology.
- Must obtain approximately 15 hours of continuing education credits per calendar year.
- Keep current of new findings/research.
