Job : Pharmacy Technician
Pay : $20-$22 / hour BOE

JOB SUMMARY : The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in providing medications to the various Nursing and other hospital units which ultimately administer medications to patients. The Pharmacy Technician also works diligently to support all the pharmacy functions necessary to provide for safe, effective and efficient medication procurement, storage and delivery.
SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (

- 1. Accurately prepares and delivers patient medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, including restocking the Omnicell Cabinets.
- 2. Accurately prepares and delivers stock medication requests to all units of the hospital per policy.
- 3. Effectively performs clerical functions necessary for the Pharmacy Department related to record
keeping, filing, assist with inventory management of non-controlled substances, assist with data collection, and maintenance of records as required by hospital policy and official regulations.

locations. 7. Accurately repackages medications in unit dose packaging when needed. 8. Effectively and consistently answers telephone and door knocks, minimizing distractions of the Pharmacist. 9. Correctly identifies and manages recalled products. 10. Consistently makes rounds to Nursing and other Functional Hospital Units to retrieve stock order requests and any other communications to Pharmacy. This is to be completed early in the shift and late in the shift.
