The North East Territory Manager will be responsible for developing sales strategies within their designated region to meet or exceed sales targets. This role will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors and OEMs, partnering with distributor sales teams to increase product knowledge and sales, and collaborating with the inside sales account managers to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial sales, a proven track record of achieving sales targets, and excellent communication skills.
Main tasks:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors, OEMs, and key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with inside sales account managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Conduct product training sessions and ride along with distributor sales partners.
- Monitor sales funnel progress and provide accurate sales forecasts and reports.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve optimal profitability.
- Travel within the territory to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions
Location: USA – Northeast Territory includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.
Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Professional requirements:
- 3 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably with distributors and OEMs.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts effectively.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory (50-75%).
