We’re searching for mid to senior level Land Planners with some physical land use planning and zoning entitlement experience to join us in our Denver office. The ideal candidate will also have entitlement experience including municipal research, community outreach, public speaking and technical writing experience as well as design experience including master planning, conceptual bubble plans and neighborhood-level site planning. Our Baseline

· Experience at a professional design firm or on staff in a planning department for a municipality

· Experience leading internal teams and working with consultant teams, preparing schedules, and managing the application and approval process for residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use projects

· Have an understanding and knowledge of zoning regulations, subdivision regulations and land use, zoning and development review and approval processes

· Preferred experience with physical land use planning, including site analysis, conceptual bubble plans, residential lotting plans at a variety of densities and non-residential site plans

· Professional writing skills to effectively communicate the goals and objectives of projects and graphic design skills to supplement written expression

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and ACAD

· Professional experience with land use, zoning, and development review entitlements community participation and public speaking must be demonstrated

· Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture or another related field from an accredited program

Full time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Supplementary Insurance and Dependent Care FSA and Healthcare FSA. A portion of the premiums are paid for by Norris Design. Norris Design also pays for a Basic Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability as well as a 4% company match to our employer 401k plan. Staff receives 8 paid company holidays per year and an accrual PTO program starting at 15 days per calendar year. Plus year round half day Fridays! The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $100,000.
