Position Summary:
Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations and assists the registered pharmacist in delivering safe, efficient medication services. Responsibilities include refilling automated dispensing systems, filling medication carts, sterile compounding, repackaging bulk medications, and handling hazardous drugs. This position requires critical thinking, strong judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Proof of current CPhT standing and Alabama Board of Pharmacy Registration Required
- Successful completion of the National Certification Examination by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technician (ICPT) required 6 months from date of hire/transfer
