We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with our main location in Inver Grove Heights and has an opening for a 1st shift Reefer Trailer Technician/Mechanic for our Service Trucks in our Trailer Shop. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, detail oriented, willing to jump in and help out where needed, and a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete repair and general maintenance of refrigerated semi-trailers, as well as, all other styles and sizes of trailers.
SCHEDULE: 1st shift, 7am-4pm, Monday- Friday (approx. 40-60 hours per week)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration units and auxiliary power units
•Diagnose and repair trailers including preventative maintenance, inspections, repair to air and hydraulic brakes, tires and electrical
•Positively interface with service writers, leadership team, parts department, drivers, vendors and customers
•Keep paperwork/ Data/ RO’s updated and submitted on time

•Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus
•Welding experience a plus
•Basic tool set and tool box to start (assistance programs available)
•Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
•Good written and verbal communication skills
•Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
•Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment

Requirements
Job Requirements:
•Refrigeration or HVAC experience is preferred
•Experience working with refrigeration units
•Must have your own set of general tools- Tool kit program available
•Ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
•Use computers for web-based training and work order system
•Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions
•ThermoKing and Carrier certifications a plus
Must have a clean driving record, and be able to pass a pre-employment physical
•Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them
•The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training
•Solid written and verbal communication skills
•Mechanical and HVAC experience
•EPA Certification with refrigerant a plus
Ability to work independently in a field service environment, while displaying a professional and confident relationship with the customer
