Description
The OR RN responsible for the planning, executing, directing and evaluation direct and indirect nursing care given to the surgical patient. This nursing care ranges from preoperative intervention onto postoperative evaluation. It is a practice designed to meet a patient’s needs through the nursing process, ensuring continuity of care during the surgical experience. Work in PACU/PRE/POST OP as needed.
Requirements
A. Current Registered Nurse license in state of Idaho.
B. Current BLS certification required.
C. Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others.
D. ACLS and PALS certification within one year of hire.
E. Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit/area(s) of assignment.
F. Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain clinical competency as required for the unit/area(s) of assignment.
G. Ability to manage a challenging work environment.
H. Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
I. Excellent communication skills to include oral comprehension/expression and written comprehension/expression.
