Position Overview
| Primary Purpose of Position | The Department of Computer Systems Technology (CST) invites applications for Part-Time Instructors for fall 2023 or spring 2024. Part-Time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach a variety of courses in electronics technology, information technology, and computer system technology programs. The successful candidate is expected to teach introductory and advanced level courses by the Department of Computer Systems Technology. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teach face-to-face and/or online courses, attend training and/or review sessions. Additional duties will include, but are not limited to, academic advising of students, supporting student organizations, participating in program development and assessment. The candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university. |

| Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The Department of Computer System Technology supports over 330 undergraduate majors and 110 graduate students. The CST Department prepares students to pursue technical, as well as technical management careers in all employment sectors. The program emphasizes acquisition of sound theoretical studies, as well as intensive hands-on experiences in the area of electronics technology. The CST Department emphasizes development of real world competencies demanded by employers. Students receive thorough grounding in electronics; digital and microprocessor systems; computer technologies, including hardware, software and computer networking; communication systems; power distribution; and automation and control systems. Additional emphasis is placed on courses in business management, statistical process control, humanities, computer programming, safety and project management, and manufacturing processes to provide students the background they need in the economic and managerial aspects of the business enterprise. |
| Minimum Requirements | Candidates must have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Information Technology, or a related field at the time of application. |
