North Carolina Personal Care Services is a home care provider committed to providing comprehensive home care services to meet the varied and individualized needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities.

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our home care team. In this role, you will assist with scheduling appointments, onboarding tasks, receptionist, and administrative responsibilities. This position provides administrative support to the Director. The ideal candidate is outgoing with excellent computer and communication skills (verbal and written). Experience in healthcare, home care, or as a scheduler is a plus.

Status: Part-Time
Shift: 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM (M-F) or 8:30 AM-1:30 PM (M-TH)

Responsibilities include (not limited to):

  • Perform routine and varied clerical duties supporting general and specific office/reception activities.
  • Answering phones in a professional manner, screening and routing calls to the correct person, or taking messages. Provide general support to visitors.
  • Reach out to candidates via phone and email and follow up with regular communication.
  • Collect phone screening information and schedule appointments.
  • Maintain network of contacts and potential candidates.
  • Maintain employee and applicant database systems.
  • Write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, letters, surveys, and meeting minutes.
  • Assist with filing, faxing, scanning, and making copies.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings, trainings, employee events, seminars, career fairs, conferences, and workshops as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist the Director with administrative tasks.
  • Performs general office errands as needed.
  • Prepares meeting and training rooms.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
Qualifications

  • HS Diploma. Associate's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in an administrative assistant or related position
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferred
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to Organize and Prioritize daily workloads.
  • Proficient Computer skills (MS Office, Typing)
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others
  • Attention to Detail
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision
  • Must have own transportation, valid motor vehicle insurance, and valid Driver's License.
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Pass drug screening
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Able to perform a combination of sitting and standing
  • Able to lift, push, or pull loads up to 35 lbs
  • Caring attitude and genuine interest in people
