What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neurodevelopmental Team Assistants position at North Country Supervisory Union?
NCSU is seeking two full time Neurodevelopmental Team Assistants to provide support to student teams under the direction of the NCSU Neurodevelopmental Team Specialists. The Neurodevelopmental Team Assistants will model implementation of instructional and behavioral protocols for school teams, assist with crossover training, and assist in the creation of materials for instruction, program implementation and professional development activities.
Experience: The qualified candidates will have experience working with children with significant neurodevelopmental disabilities, including autism and/or intellectual disability; implementing structured teaching strategies; and utilizing augmentative communication (e.g., Picture Exchange Communication and/or voice output devices), ABA instructional activities (e.g. discrete trials learning), and data collection. Associate’s Degree or equivalent is required as well as specific training in structured teaching and autism. Candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience working with students who are significantly impacted by neurodevelopmental disabilities.
Salary and benefits: Hourly wage of $24 per hour or more, depending on experience. Benefits per support staff policy. This is a school session, 190-day contract. Positions to begin immediately.
