What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Toddler Teacher position at North County Children's Academy?

- Experience with infants and toddlers a must.
- Position for ages 6 weeks through 2 years of age.
- Communicate effectively with supervision, staff and parents.
- Protects the safety of all children in the center.
- Directly supervises children at all times.
- Uses positive interaction with chilidren.
- Communicates frequently with children throughout the day
- Exhibits behavior required by management consistent with The Kids’ Place philosophy, including reflecting children’s feelings, approaching children to speak with them and positive redirecting children’s behavior.
- Co-plays/interacts with children during play activities both indoors, on the playground and being able to participate in floor play.
- Treats each child with dignity and respect by recognizing their social needs.
- Responds to the individual needs and learning styles of children.
- Responds to children in distress promptly and appropriately by showing affection and attention while providing calmness for them.
- Is responsible for all mealtime activities of the group. Helps children during meal times and monitor them closely.
- Responsible for the nurturing and love for infants needs. Understand the importance of breast fed babies and their temperment.
- Must be willing to obtain and participate in annual trainings, background check, TB and physical. Serious and ready to work applicants only.
