What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pembina State Museum Grounds Maintenance position at North Dakota Historical Society?
Summary of Work
The maintenance employee will execute their responsibilities with a positive attitude, neat appearance, and friendly demeanor. The successful applicant will:
- Perform landscaping activities including lawn mowing, string trimming, and tree pruning.
- Maintain general cleanliness of the museum and grounds., including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom and window cleaning, garbage removal, and others as they arise.
- Maintain machinery and tools in proper working order.
- Perform some painting, both interior and exterior.
- Assist with interpretive gardens including weeding, watering, and maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
- Ability to lift/move 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with other team members.
- Must have a current driver's license.
- Must have experience using, or a willingness to learn, machinery and tools such as riding lawn mowers, chainsaw, string trimmer, power drill, and various hand tools.
