Restaurateur and Chef John Fraser is currently looking for a Pastry Cook at the North Fork Table & Inn!
The historical inn has gotten a facelift but remains committed to a locally sourced farm driven menu.
For the past 10 years, Chef John Fraser has built a renowned restaurant group, garnishing industry wide recognition, multiple Michelin Stars and favorable accolades from the New York Times.
I nterested candidates must be passionate, organized, hard-working and self-motivated. Candidates must also have a strong desire to learn and grow in addition to strong communication skills and being a team player.
We are looking for people who can work well with a tight, harmonious team and who can take direction in a disciplined and intense but supportive and respectful environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS :
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar kitchen setting and a strong culinary background
- Ab ility to demonstrate advanced level of pastr y production skills and cooking techniques
- Ability to prepare ingredients and setup station mise en place for service
- Maintaining a clean and organized station during and after your shift
- Understanding of sanitation codes and DOH regulations
- A Strong commitment to excellence and sense of urgency
- A desire to learn and grow in an exciting & quickly changing environment
- Must be able to walk, stand , bend for long periods of time and be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Additional duties as necessary and assigned by Management
