What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kindergarten Instructional Paraeducator at Green Acres Elementary School position at North Haven Public Schools (CT)?
Green Acres Elementary School is looking for a Kindergarten Instructional Paraeducator to support Kindergarten teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. This role involves assisting Kindergarten teachers with small group instruction, supervising students, managing materials and activities, and promoting positive social and academic development for young learners.
Responsibilites include but are not limited to:
Assist the teachers in implementing classroom activitiesSupport individual and small-group instruction to reinforce learning concepts
Help prepare instructional materials
Supervise children in various settings, including classroom, playground, and cafeteria
Monitor and support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development
Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
Provide additional support to students with special needs or language development needs (as directed)
Communicate effectively and professionally with students, teachers, staff, and parents
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required
Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration
Education/Qualifications
High School Diploma and Pass ParaPro Test by February 1, 2026 or Associate's Degree.
