Job Summary

The Equipment Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all equipment used by the Golf Course Maintenance Department. This role ensures all machinery is operating safely and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of golf course operations.

Essential Functions

Diagnose and repair all equipment associated with the golf course maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lubricate and service all course maintenance equipment.
• Inspect equipment to identify and address operating deficiencies.
• Perform repairs and adjustments on a variety of equipment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date repair records for all equipment.
• Demonstrate the proper use of new equipment to staff.
• Train personnel in the correct use and maintenance of equipment.
• Develop and enforce safety procedures related to equipment usage.
• Maintain safety records for all equipment and related activities.
• Train operators on the care and use of newly acquired equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and general overhauls on all equipment.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Golf Course Management

• Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.

Work Environment

This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, operating machinery, and handling tools. Adherence to established safety protocols is essential.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training in mechanics or a related field preferred.

Experience

• 2 years in equipment maintenance or a similar field.
• Background in related fields such as automotive repair, small engine maintenance, or heavy machinery.
• Experience with turf equipment or agricultural machinery preferred.
