What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at North Texas Veterinary Clinic?
North Texas Veterinary Clinic is seeking a veterinary receptionist to join our customer service team. This candidate must know how to multi-task and work at a swift pace, while also providing excellent customer service. Must be friendly with a positive attitude; must love people and animals! We are looking for someone with a willingness-to-serve attitude who works well in a team environment. Must also work well with computers and pay close attention to detail. Must be familiar with basic veterinary terms and the ability to educate clients on basic veterinary topics and procedures.
We take pride in our receptionists, as they are the faces of our business; the first and the last people our clients see. We are looking for someone who can represent our business well and fits well with our team.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, answering a multi-line phone system, checking patients in/out, handling cash and credit card transactions, performing end-of-day reports, managing daily schedules, handling receptionist email, faxing/scanning/inputting records, prescription refill requests, submitting information for pet insurance, weighing animals during check-in, interacting with clients and patients, educating clients and various cleaning duties.
We are a 3-doctor practice that was founded in 2011. In May 2021 we moved into a brand-new, beautiful, custom-built hospital! We have 6 exam rooms, with a spacious lobby, fireplace and coffee bar. Check out some pictures on our website www.northtexasvetclinic.com.
We use Cornerstone Veterinary Software, Weave Phone Systems and Smartflow Digital Whiteboards.

*Full-time 35-40 hours per week
Working hours:
7:45am-6:00pm Monday-Friday
7:45am-12:00pm Saturdays (some Saturdays off!)
Closed Sundays and all major holidays. No pet boarding!
