What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1:1 LPN position at Northbridge Public Schools?
The 1 : 1 Licensed Practical Nurse will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care and support to an individual student with specific medical needs as outlined in the Individualized Health Care Plan (IHCP) and Section 504 Plan.1. Provide student direct care and implementation of an individualized health care plan2. Experience monitoring juvenile diabetics, pediatric tracheostomies, and GI tube feedings3. Ability to interact with all students in a caring and compassionate manner4. Accompany student to General Education classroom and provide accommodations as outlinedin the IHCP and Section 504 Plan5. Collaborate with program personnel to create the best learning environment regardless ofindividual's health care needs6. Provide medically prescribed interventions including medication administration (based onstate regulations) and nursing procedures and provides nursing care to the chronically illchildren7. Assist individual with daily living activities, e.g. : lunch, bus load, personal care, toileting8. Maintain comprehensive school health records, including maintaining an electronic log of theday's medical treatments9. Provide coverage in the school's health clinic when required10. Participate in required professional development11. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising RN, Building Principals, and / or Directorof Pupil Personnel Services
