Description
We are hiring creative and experienced Drama Instructors for our youth performing arts drama program.
Pay & Shift Information
Starting at $35/hour. Must be available late afternoon on weekdays and on Saturdays. Shift times on Saturdays depend on class enrollment and may be from 8:30am-1pm.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and supervise class participants 2 -12 years old. Prepare all participants for a theatrical performance complete with staging, music and dance. Implement a lesson plan to provide an educational and varied drama experience. Communicate with parents on a regular basis. Edit a script to fit the needs of participants and create theatrical experiences from children’s story books.
Qualifications
Degree from four-year college or university with major course work in theatre, directing, dance or supplemented by four (4) years teaching experience or experience working in the program area. Thorough knowledge of theatre techniques is required. Strong communication skills are needed. Must have experience working with children.
