Job Description:


We are seeking an individual who is able to quickly learn, understand and repair complex HVAC, (including low voltage wiring and controls in connection with building management systems) plumbing, irrigation/fertigation systems, and electrical systems. Good communication skills and an ability to lead a staff, schedule and direct contractors, and generally be responsible for the facility maintenance is critical. This position is based in Kalkaska Michigan and will require a minimum of 40-45 hours per week, including occasional evening and weekend work.

Successful characteristics and qualifications of the ideal candidate first and foremost is a problem solver and individual contributor who is proactive, trustworthy, and conscientious. A sense of urgency and goal oriented is critical for success in this role.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
  • Repair faulty equipment and damaged structures.
  • Manage HVAC, plumbing/fertigation systems to guarantee 100% uptime
  • Plan and schedule repairs.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • A trade license is not required but a plus.
  • Personal hand tools are required for all jobs.

Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Some hands-on experience preferred

Physical Requirements:


  • Able to Lift 75 lbs and Push/Pull 100 lbs
  • Able to repeatedly perform the following tasks: sit, stand, stoop, stretch, bend, twist, reach, carry, lift, push, and pull
