Service Manager Job Description
Duties Include:
- Lead technicians, service advisors, and porters.
- Direct, assist, and motivate department personnel to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency while maintaining the highest customer service standards.
- Prepare a daily schedule for technicians and porters.
- Ensure the shop is clean and organized.
- Plan and lead weekly departmental meetings.
- Ensure warranty claims are filed in a timely manner.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all manufacturer reps, as well as, all department heads.
- Handle customer concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat customers.
- Assisting with or performing administrative tasks, such as managing and updating repair orders, processing new orders, and tracking inventory.
- Help to train new employees in company procedures.
- Working knowledge of a Dealership Management System
Qualifications:
- 3 years current, verifiable experience as a service manager.
- Highly detailed and organized
- Computer and technology savvy
- Must demonstrate extraordinary communication skills
- Maintains a clean and safe work area
- Performance oriented and goal driven
- Must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills to provide amazing customer experiences.
- Proven track record of developing and coaching others
- Willing to complete pre-employment screening
- Clean, valid drivers license with motorcycle endorsement
