Position: Employment Specialist
Hours: Full-time
Schedule: Monday -Friday. Must be flexible, could be some nights a weekend for assisting people with their employment needs.

Responsibilities:
- Provide professional leadership and support in all areas of community employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Job includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Create and develop employment opportunities within Spearfish and surrounding communities.
- Coordinate services with SD Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
- Complete documentation necessary for NHTC vocational services and documentation necessary for tracking employment progress.
- Connect employers with people receiving services, and assist with the development and supervision of job skills.
- Provide on-going job coaching support for people needing assistance.
- Attend Individual Service Plan (ISP) meetings.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements for employed individuals.
- Model professional and appropriate actions, manners, attire and ethics at all times.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 years of experience working in the Human Services field.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be well organized and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel.
