SUMMARY: The Counter Server responsibilities include greeting customer, taking orders, preparing ice cream desserts, operating a cash register and maintaining good working relationships with customers and co-workers.
As a counter worker you will be the first employee a guest will encounter. It will be expected you make guests feel welcomed and that they are served with professionalism. You must be able to operate an electronic cash register and count cash properly. When customers are not being served you will maintain a clean and organized work area. It is important that you stock supplies as needed throughout your shift. The counter worker will assist in cleaning tables and emptying trash as needed. This position earns tips in addition to the hourly wage. Tips are pooled.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
1. Professionalism: conducting oneself with responsibility, integrity, accountability, and excellence. It means communicating effectively and appropriately and always finding a way to be productive.
2. Guest service: Ensure positive guest service at all times. Take appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into a return guest
3. Food safety and Food Preparation: Practice safe food handling, general cleanliness inside of the restaurant and in outside dining area.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of work experience. A combination of practical experience and education will be preferred. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Employee will earn a percentage of tips in addition to their wage.
